What We Know
By now, you likely know that Omega and the Olympics are one of the watch world’s most significant and longest-lived sponsorships/partnerships. One year and one day from now, on February 6, 2026, the Olympics will return with the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. As an unofficial kick-off to the countdown to the Games for watch fans, Omega just released a new 37mm perfect Omega Seamaster replica watches in Moonshine Gold.
The best UK Omega fake watches has ties to past Olympic watches from Omega (as early as the 1950s and as recent as 2008), which I’ll get to later. Despite the “dog leg” lugs and austere white dial with applied Moonshine Gold indices that might skew more vintage, the slightly larger 37mm by 11.4mm case is one of a number of small tweaks to bring the Swiss made Omega copy watches into the 21st century. They also went back to the original for inspiration with the white Grand Feu enamel dial with applied gold indices.
The only branding for the Olympics is on the back, with the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games logo. While we’ve gotten used to displaying casebacks on basically everything under the sun, the closed caseback is more in line with what the original top 1:1 replica Omega watches would have used. Under the caseback is the Omega Caliber 8807 automatic movement. It beats at 25,200 b.p.h., has 55 hours of power reserve, and is METAS Master Chronometer certified, with anti-magnetism up to 15,000 Gauss.
This release is not a limited edition, which feels like a massive positive for a watch that seems incredibly attractive and potentially worth saving up for. At $19,300, it’s certainly not affordable, but given the price of gold these days, it feels like a largely standard ask for a thoughtful design.
What We Think
This is a super appealing release. It’s the kind of “if you know, you know” thing that makes the watch world so special. So what is it to know? First, the “dog leg” lugs are iconic in the Omega lineup, not just in the dressier Seamasters but also in the Constellation line. More specifically, in 1952, high quality fake Omega watches was awarded the “Cross of Merit” for contributing to 20 years of timekeeping for the Olympics. In 1956, during the Melbourne Olympics, the brand released a special Seamaster to celebrate that achievement, with Olympic branding and the “Cross of Merit” dial as one of the variants.
Looking at the version below, you can see the inspiration for this new release. In 2008, Omega took inspiration again from the “Cross of Merit” watches for a limited edition for the Beijing Olympics. With nearly a hundred years of Olympic Games timekeeping, luxury Omega replica watches UK has become synonymous with where the Olympics have been and where they are going.
I’m a big fan of the sculptural lugs and the kind of break formed by the way the lugs drop off the case band, come back up, and then geometrically shape downward off the case yet again. It’s the same reason I like Spillman cases on vintage chronographs – it just looks sharp. The subtly domed white Grand Feu enamel dial and ‘Seamaster’ script, and the minute track transferred in grey Petit Feu (or cold) enamel all make this incredibly enticing as a vintage-styled watch for the modern wearer who wants modern reliability.
I also felt that it was worth highlighting the case in profile. This kind of geometric design is so quintessentially 1950s to me, and judging by the pictures, AAA China Omega super clone watches got all the parts of the case just right, down to the hexagonal crown. Everyone will have their favorites at a given price point, but this certainly would be high on my list if I were shopping for a modern watch with dressier stylings for just under $20,000.
